The Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE) is an Autonomous Institution depending on the Ministry of Universities, which acts as the National Agency responsible for developing and implementing the Erasmus+ programme in Spain.

SEPIE is the sole interlocutor between the 87 universities that make up the Spanish University System as a whole and foreign governments or institutions - both public and private. Its functions include contributing to the international promotion of Spanish higher education worldwide, offering information and advice to foreign students, professors and researchers and establishing collaboration with foreign governments and institutions, in order to coordinate international mobility programmes.
